The incident checklist is to be sent to all vessels within your VRP. It should be made readily available as a guiding tool for the details Ardent may request during a marine casualty. Initiating the RAC: 1. Call your QI and communicate to the agent that you would like to conduct your RAC drill
2. Your QI will then notify Ardent of such.
3. Ardent will then call back the vessel master to complete the drill.
3. Ensure access to the incident checklist provided
4. Provide the duty officer with the following information: - Vessel Name - IMO - Contact Name & Phone - Email - Class Society
- Scenario (COLLISION, GROUNDING, OR FIRE)
- Cargo
- Next Port of Call 5. The duty officer will continue the RAC – using the incident checklist as the guiding tool for the drill.
Note: the incident checklist DOES NOT need to be completed during the phone-based drill. 6. After successful completion of the RAC and within 48 hours, Ardent will issue an exercise documentation form for your review and signature. Sign the form and return
